Thanks for the sermon topics!

Thank you, Stacey, for the sermon topic ideas that you shared. They're great and I'm working them into the schedule for 2007:
1. God's will and our will
2. The 12 disciples
3. Poverty
4. Grace
5. The Holy Spirit

We also got the following topics in the Worship Response form on Sunday:

1. Solomon/Ecclesiastes ("vanity of vanities, all is vanity").
2. The relationship of character traits and scriptural principles in today's society.
3. Charity - when God places you in a situation where you give you are being given a gift.
4. Democrat/Republican: we're all still Christians no matter what our political views and should be able to worship together and feel welcome.

Any other ideas out there?

What would God say?

I need your help. During the next two weeks, I am praying and reflecting on what God would have said in the sermons during the new church year: December 2006 - November 2007. What would Jesus say? What does he want said? What do God's people at Trinity and in our community need to hear?
