MISSION STATEMENT: The mission of youth group of Trinity Lutheran Church is to help all families and youth grown in knowledge of the saving faith that is found only in Christ Jesus. We strive to humbly build the body of Christ through the study of God's Holy Scriptures and the Lutheran Confessions so that all may be equipped to go out in fellowship to th world and make disciples of all nations. |
FIVE PURPOSES: Worship: "And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him" (Colosssians 3:17). Ministry: "It will not be so among you; but whoever wishes to be great among you must be your servant, and whoever wishes to be first among you must be your slave; just as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many" (Matthew 20:28). Fellowship: "God is faithful; by Him you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord" (1 Corinthians 1:9). Evangelism: "Lead a life worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, making every effort to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace" (Ephesians 4:1-3). Discipleship: "But as for you, continue in what you have learned and firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it, and how from childhood you have known the sacred writings that are able to instruct you for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, so that everyone who belongs to God may be proficient, equipped for every good work" (2 Timothy 3:15-17). |
